We are humbled in being a space that fosters creativity, community, and culture. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that our very own Sue Melotte has been invited as a guest speaker at the International Women’s Day Panel Discussion in Moruya on Thursday, 6 March, at Moruya Library.

Accelerating Action for Gender Equality

This year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) theme, "Accelerate Action," is a powerful call to collectively drive forward gender equality.

As part of a distinguished panel of inspiring local women, Sue will share her insights and experiences alongside:

  • Tracey Lee – Author of The Lily O’Hara Mysteries, blogger, and retired teacher.

  • Shanna Provost – Author, end-of-life education specialist, and funeral celebrant.

  • Moderator: Kathryn McCarthy – Journalist and Moruya Library staff member.

This engaging discussion will explore the unique journeys, challenges, and triumphs of these incredible women, encouraging attendees to step into new opportunities and embrace bold action.

Sue’s Journey: From Leadership to Local Impact

As a retired Army Brigadier, Department of Defence consultant, and passionate local business owner, Sue has dedicated her life to leadership, service, and innovation. Her role at Quantum Brewery Moruya embodies her commitment to creating a thriving community space that celebrates heritage, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Through her work, Sue has not only shaped successful businesses but also paved the way for women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and the brewing industry, a sector traditionally dominated by men. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience, vision, and action.
